Whatsoever resemblance to any living or whosoever dead is purely INTENSENULL

It is never too late

Stubbed out for over a decade
The inferno stays hibernated
Everyone rests in peace until one day
When it comes back to life and each soul is infuriated.

The radical elements of destruction
Pounces upon every now and then
A sheer avatar of barbarism
And innocent lives bear all the pain.

Who were those people we voted for?
It’s been a hell lot of strife
Contained within us, smothering and twinging our existence
Swelling enormously, going rife.

Who shall awaken you from slumber?
The materialism keeping you sound.
Who shall mount courage into you?
Your cowardice invading your ground.

Generations shall curse us
For the initiative we should advance upon now
Let the humanity behold a new era of harmony and love
A world devoid of terror, only WE can plough.

A Tribute to Bishwajeet and Rishabh

The euphoric campus now stands agonizing and doomed
The day you left us without a word
Didn’t think about your friends, your family
And you set for the heavenly abode.

What did you have on your mind?
How do we face the room you lived in?
All that love we shared, even when we argued
Is now washed away and gone.

Every moment without you is onerous
Every thought about you is painful
But this surely is not the end
We will meet again when you are reborn.

We miss you.

Who should we blame?

Lying on the pavement
There is a child crying for food
He was abandoned due to poverty
But there is no one to help him
And no one feels shame
Then who should we blame?

Participating in a rally
There is a youth in his 20's
He earns for his old-aged parents
Some miscreants herald a hoax
In the stampede, he goes lame
Then who should we blame?

In his office at Janpath
There is a politician asking for bribe
Audacious enough but heedless though
That he is on a sting show
Yet he is a personality with fame
Then who should we blame?

Lying on the roadside for several days
There is a dead body
A policeman is standing near-by
Offhanded with his duty, smoking in vain
And there are no relatives in the frame
Then who should we blame?

On the border
There is a soldier fighting for his country
Day and night he escapes death
And one day he is shot
For he misses the target, his aim
Then who should we blame?

Fighting over a piece of land
Where once stood a monument
There are Hindus and Muslims
Those were politicians who stirred them up
And when there is no Gandhi to stop them
Then who should we blame?

Watching a movie
There is a lady in her 30's
Thieves burgle in the house and tie her down
Those morons loot and escape
And she is harassed on filing an FIR for claim
Then who should we blame?

Do not be numb now
Speak, share, blog
Who do you blame?

The Curious Soul

Tossed up sometimes in the gloomy days
The gaunt log of my past alights
The fond memory sets alight
And my curious soul begins to read.

The days of merriment cherished
The words of love then exchanged
The edifying tours traveled
And the recreative cultural nights.

But they are all faded and rippled away
The cheerful mansion of love now rusted
The string that bound us now held loose
And we cascade like shed autumn leaves.

I myself a miniature of His titanic innovation
Feel like a daft fly who is fumbling in the dark
Fluttering his fragile wings
Waiting for doom!

Thus in a somber winter night
Snugly ensconced in an eiderdown
Slurping a sip of hot coffee
I am thronged by these smudgy retentions.

Still, I can feel those winds in the corridor
Driving me to arrest the fragrance bygone
Still, I can feel those festive beats
Delightful and revitalizing - pursuing me in my dreams.
